6 Baby Items to Help New Moms

Most baby items tend to be a baby’s preference. Some babies like a swing, others like a bouncer. Some babies take a pacifier, others will not take a pacifier. I am going to share my favorite baby items where the focus is making life easier for mom! I use these six baby items multiple times a week – if not daily!

1. Oversized Muslin Swaddle Blanket

My love for muslin blankets started when I had my first child 8 years ago. However, I didn’t realize there were OVERSIZED muslin swaddle blankets. I could have definitely used these in my life sooner! My sister-in-law gifted me a couple with my third child and it is one of my most used baby items. They are a light and breathable swaddle, easy to carry around, and a perfect stroller, floor, or nursing blanket.

2. Nose Frida and Saline Spray

I flat out refused to purchase the Nose Frida with my first child. Little did I know how miserable I was making myself and my baby when he had a snotty nose. Pair it with saline spray and you have the perfect defense when it comes to congestion!

3. Aquaphor Diaper Cream and Applicator

I found this diaper cream applicator with my second child. It is easy to clean and soft on your baby’s bottom. The best part for mom is it saves your fingers from rubbing diaper cream on a bottom! I make sure I keep one at home and one in the diaper bag!

Aquaphor is my go-to diaper cream because it creates a good barrier and is gentle on the skin. However, if your baby is prone to bad diaper rashes, this brand is a miracle ointment – the absolute best for bad rashes!!

4. Baby Buddha Breast Pump

If you choose to breastfeed, you’ll want to have a pump handy. I’ve used a few breast pumps, but the Baby Buddha Breast Pump is my favorite. It is small, portable, keeps a long charge, and compatible with other flanges/milk collection cups. Talk about freedom for mom! This pump is the one!

5. Gerber Diaper Burp Cloths

Thick and absorbent burp cloths will keep momma clean from spit up. These really are the most absorbent burp cloths I have and I find myself doing the laundry when I run out. I purchased a large box to monogram for baby shower gifts and I always get asked if I will make more!

6. Britax Convertible Car Seat

I have owned a few Britax car seats along with a few other brands. This car seat checks all of the boxes and more! From the highest safety ratings to easy installation and cleaning, you cannot go wrong with this car seat investment! I used this car seat with my first child until he could safely sit in a booster seat.

This car seat will save your sanity and allow you to rest easy!
